“Explain the importance of the work being done. Simply stating that it is important is not enough. The author must make a case for its importance by referring to information found in the literature (Me). (Do background research!!).
This is where the author explains the necessary concepts that were applied in order to get the results.
Do not assume that your readers are experts on the subject. However, assume that they have some technical competence to understand the material and write accordingly. Do not write an introductory piece on the subject/theory/concept you have used. ”
