Your Research in Psychology

As we mentioned in the project description, research is at the core of psychology practice whether you conduct it yourself or apply evidence-based strategies and techniques in your professional practice. Throughout Units 2 and 4–6, you created a research question to search the literature related to your interests and passions within your specialized field. You practiced using critical thinking frameworks to evaluate the quality of research and reviewed strategies for integrating literature to prepare for application in practice. This assignment provides an opportunity to receive feedback from your instructor to help you further refine your research interests, reflect on the role of scholarship in your career vision, and practice evaluating and synthesizing evidence to apply in your profession.

Complete the following:

1. Review your completed work in the Your Research in Psychology Worksheet. (Blank copies of the worksheet and related template are provided with this activity for your convenience only: please continue to use your in-progress versions of these documents.)
2. Review your formatted assignment in the Your Research in Psychology Template one last time to complete any last refinements.
3. Review the Your Research in Psychology Scoring Guide one last time to ensure you meet all the requirements for your assignment.
4. Review your paper to ensure you meet the following additional requirements:
   • Length: 5–7 typed and double-spaced content pages (length excludes title page, abstract, table of contents, and reference list).
   • Font: Times New Roman 12 point.
   • References: At least 3 scholarly references.
   • Written communication: Must be free of errors, scholarly, professional, and consistent with expectations for members of the profession of psychology.
   • Writing Style: APA expectations for scholarly writing include the use of third-person narrative.
   • APA formatting: Must be formatted according to APA (6th edition) style and formatting and include a title page, abstract, and reference list.
