My career goal is to become either a family physician or a medical epidemiologist. A family physician provides comprehensive health care for all ages and a medical epidemiologist is a public health physician that adds medical and clinical knowledge to epidemiology. I decided to pursue a masters in public health because of its focuse on health and wellness and the program will teach me research-based methods on how to promote health and prevent diseases, which is perfect for my aspiring career. Also, the mission statement of the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions aligns with my goal because of its values on “health, wellness, safety and quality of care.” (“College of Nursing and Health Care Professions,” 2019) Therefore, I believe the college’s mission and your program of study will prepare me in becoming a splendid doctor.

My three personal goal to attain this career goal are:

Acquiring a 3.8 to 4.0 GPA with my master’s degree diploma, it has always been my personal educational goal a acquire such high GPA.

Acquire a 515 to 520 MCAT score, this is the medical school admission test, I need a strong score to make me stand out as a candidate.

Getting accepted to a medical school.

My three professional goals to attain this career goal are:

Completing medical school and acquiring my degree.

Getting accepted into a residency program

Gain medical work experience in a clinical non-profit organization
