In both the Odyssey and in the Aeneid, the protagonists explore The Underworld. How do Homer’s and Vergil’s accounts differ? How are they similar? What is the significance of this journey to the dead and back? How does an awareness of death make heroes of men?

BOTH BOOKS NEED TO BE THE MAN REFERENCE FOR THE ESSAY. THE BOOKS CAN BE FOUND ONLINE OR I CAN SCAN PICTURES OF PAGES.

THIS TEACHER WILL GIVE THE STUDENTS A 65% IF THE FORMAT IS NOT CORRECT.

MLA: Quotes need to be integrated with a small description or reference to who is talking. Proper “quoted citations” and the author (homer, page number). — That is an example at how the quotes need to look.

Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 5-7 pages in length. Each paragraph must have at least 5 sentences. You must include at least one quote from a text we have used in class in every body paragraph. You may use outside sources as well but you are not required to. You must include a Works Cited pages for each source that you use. Within the essay, use signal phrases and parenthetical citations to identify your sources. Use the Purdue Owl website to help you with this. Failure to complete all of these requirements will result in a failing grade. Format: Typed, double-spaced using 12-point Times New Roman font. MLA format. Include your name, instructor’s name, and due date at the top corner of the first page. Include a title at the top of the first page. Your essay must be stapled in order for me to accept it.
