| Feminist Manifesto and Woolf |
In addition to the works of Mina Loy and Viriginia Woolf, read the articles by Daugherty and Zwerdling. How is “feminism†defined by Loy’s “Feminist Manifesto†and Beth Daugherty’s “The Transatlantic Virginia Woolf: Essaying an American audience How do these representations/commentaries differ?
In regards to diction and format (Loy’s being in an unconventional format while Woolf’s being more traditional) how does the presentation on the page add or detract from the content of the writing?

Discussion #2
| Tradition |
Eliot’s “Tradition and the Individual Talent†is one of the most important essays about poetry written in the last 100 years. Specifically regarding Yeats, Auden, Eliot, Thomas— considering Hulme—what can you infer (conclude) about poetics of the Romantic and Victorian poets influence on the poets of the 20th Century? Name at least one poem from each era to substantiate any differences and/or similarities that you infer and explain the implications of their messages with the context of the 20th Century. For example, you might speak about how Yeats’ works was inspired by one of the Romantic and Victorian poets in content, construction, style, tone, diction, etc.
While considering this topic, refer to the article by Schuchard, which is found in JSTOR.
