Organic Chemistry is the Chemistry of Design.

This is an academic essay, it is on a topic between plastics and polymers, soaps and detergents and drugs for my essay i chose drugs and i have chosen Phenylephrine and Pseudoephedrine.
It is about ORGANIC CHEMISTRY and the thesis is that organic molecules can be designed – the thesis is important because everything has to be related back to this thesis

Structure:
intro – start broad – define/ explain organic chemistry lead towards the thesis of organic molecules can be designed. talk about real life applications and the importance in society today.

introduce idea of design, the importance. talk about how molecules are are designed and how they are changed mention the other topics i mentioned early the plastic and polymers, soaps

detergents and drugs talk about drug and particular drug pseudo and phenyl and how they use the design of this drug support and link back to thesis. compare phenyl and pseudo introduce the

issue (one made it possible to make meth) talk  about due to this issue they had to redesign it (linking to thesis) they had to redesign to solve problem

brief timeline/development, go into problem in a bit more depth about meth the problem, talk about the design and how did they ale pseudo and phenyl, talk about the synthesis of both, the

structure, does it have a ring structure? talk about that pseudo is based on adrenaline and cross compare with pseudo and talk about why this would be the reason they based pseudo on

adrenaline, when talking about structure needs to go into depth example pictures of the structure, talk about polarity and why they would be structured that way

MAKE SURE YOU TALK ABOUT – the chemistry behind it all, about polarity, the functional groups that were removed so meth can’t be made etc and how functional groups help and talk about how

polarity affects the drug and talk about valence electron repulsion theory and how it is related to drugs.
