Minister David has been asked several questions lately about THE OVERALL PRODUCTIVITY OF THE ECONOMY. The Minister is new to the portfolio and has been embarrassed to have to admit that he has no knowledge about Economics. He has requested to his Department to prepare a brief report on this topic. After receiving report from each member from his department the divisional director will summarise it for the overall productivity of the country. Your report should include the following issues: 1. What is productivity? What are the determinants of productivity? How does it measured? All these should be in context of your chosen country. 2. Provide Tables/Graphs showing changes in productivity since last three decades. Identify the major reasons for these changes. Please remember: i) The minister is in dark in this area! He needs to know all basic concepts. You need to be very clear in explaining all related concepts. ii) The Minister is fanatical about two things: neat and correct presentation and deadlines. Be sure to follow the advice given below for the presentation of your written work.
