Definitional Argument

The way we define the term “criminal” determines whether we approach legal correction for criminal actions as a matter of rehabilitation or punishment.

Develop an extended definition of the term criminal. This definition should not be the standard definition from a dictionary. Rather, this definition should consider complex aspects of the term and should establish evaluative criteria by which you would judge someone to be a criminal. In order to place a particular person into the category of being a criminal, what would that person have to have done or not done? How could you apply your criteria to all potential persons who might belong in that category, utilizing a system of fairness and justice to evaluate all potential persons using the same criteria?

Requirements:
1) Decide what criteria will label someone a criminal. Do this by researching what criteria other people have used to decide whether or not someone is a criminal.
2) Decide what types of people then match the criteria you have established for the category of criminal.
3) Use at least 3 sources
