We would like to draw your kind attention that SKUS is a non-political, non-profit, non-governmental development service oriented organization. It has been working in different districts of Bangladesh since 1995 for sustainable socio-economic development of the poor and marginalized communities with financial and technical support from National and International donor’s agencies like Save the Children, ActionAid Bangladesh, USC Canada Bangladesh, BRAC, UNDP, UNICEF, and Government departments.
Over the period doing development work SKUS have achieve special consultative status from the ECOSOC, UN. On the other hand SKUS has networking relationship with national and international arenas.
The major programs under operation of SKUS are Human right and good governance, Women development and empowerment, HIV/AIDS prevention among ethnic community, garments workers, Injecting Drug Users (IDUs) and adolescent group, child and adult education, training on human resource development, malaria control, water and sanitation, child health, childless women safe guarding, immunization, reduction of climate change vulnerability, emergency relief and rehabilitation and livelihoods recovery support to the flood/landslide affected communities etc.
As your good organization has been working in the field of women empowerment and gender justice for women all over the world, therefore we would like to request you to include our organization as one your development partner in order to help vulnerable women and young women for creating better opportunity and thereby alleviate poverty, empowerment and gender justice in Bangladesh.
