This assignment will receive either a 5 or 0. For full marks three criteria must be met.
(1)You must submit a minimum of two full pages of text excluding any space used for your name to appear on the paper (not needed), title, repeat of questions set out. You will provide at least two full pages, and no more than four pages of your thinking.
(2) No spelling or grammar errors are detected by Microsoft Word.
(3) It appears to the instructor that you gave the questions a good college try.
You will use a 12 point font. Cambria, Times Roman, and other professional looking fonts must be used. Double space and use standard margin settings.
In at least two full pages, answer the following questions in an integrated essay.
How did the journalists get the story? Do journalists spy? Do they do library or internet based research? Do they conduct surveys? What do you suppose actually is the back story?
How would an academic approach the issue differently?
Why do you think the Globe and Mail published the article? What is their business plan?
Does the business plan of the Globe and Mail impact the content of stories?
