Summarize the most current research regarding Domestic Violence/Partner Abuse. Please include causes, characteristics, prevalence, and prevention.

Requirements
Paper length: 7-10 pages (not including the bibliography section) double spaced lines, no larger than 12 point font, ONLY WORD documents (“.doc” or “.docx”) will be accepted. Remember this is a research paper.

References:  You must cite where you got your information. Please use at least four current (year 2000 or later) scholarly* references (this course textbook does not count as one of the four) and cite them in your paper as well as on a reference/bibliography section that can demonstrate you have done independent research. Warning: Wikipedia and/or any informational website (specially “.com,” or “.org”) are NOT accepted as scholarly references. Any recognized format for citing will be acceptable. For example, citing according to the guidelines of the Modern Language Association, the American Psychological Association, Chicago or Turabian will assist you in citing references correctly. Recommendation: Minimize your own personal opinions. You need to show evidence of independent research. If you decide to include your opinions, they need to be supported by several publications. Books, and/or articles that you find and quote. The more references you use to prepare your research paper the higher the grade.
