The objective of the assessment is to test the student’s knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing global society and global business.
Specifically this assessment addresses the student’s mastery of the key learning objectives from the syllabus of the course:
An understanding of the complexity of the process of globalisation
An awareness of the anti-globalisation issues
An understanding of the implications of multi-ethnic societies
An understanding of the importance of sustainability theory
as well as analytical skills, problem solving skills, presentation skills
Description: Group project with individual contribution
Groups consist of 4 individuals, each one responsible for 2000 – 2500 words of the final document. Each group member should write his/her name on each page of his/her individual section.
The project should include two main parts:
1. A review of the literature on your chosen global challenge
2. A comparative analysis of the impact of that global challenge on two countries, one from the Global North, the other from the Global South.
Our group chose the topic Globalization and Multinationals.
We are 4 students per group 2 going for north, 2 for south, each one of those 2 will focus on pro globalization and multinational stand and the other will take the “against” stand.
My group decided on using Vietnam for the Global South and the USA for the global north!
I am the against stand for Globalization and Multinationals in the global north (United States of America)!
1. Review the literature on the science, discuss the key debates on the topic, examine the global response to the issue.
2. Complete a comparative analysis of Globalization and Multinationals as it relates to the USA and Vietnam: its likely impact, government policy etc.

Structure of the Written Project
The written report should have the following structure:

NOTE: The title page should include the name of the course, the title of the project, the students? full names, the tutor?s name and the date. The table of contents should include all the headings with appropriate page numbers, including the Bibliography and the Appendices.
Format of the Written Business Plan
The group project should be written in proper academic format as a typed Word document.
Font: 12 pt Times New Roman.
Spacing: double.
Page Numbering: Yes.
Referencing and Bibliography for all sources following the Harvard System.
Assessment
Written Component: 80% of project grade
Of that 80%, 75% is awarded for the overall group work, 25% for individual contribution
Oral Component: 20% of project grade
