Anthology Project

Project instructions:
Students will choose a story based on a theme determined by the entire class. The story may be any length between one and fifteen pages long. Try to keep the stories less than fifteen pages, just for the sake of time and space. Students will write an introduction to the story they choose for the anthology. This introduction should be two double-spaced pages in length. The introduction should provide reasons for why the story was chosen, including how the story fits with the theme. The introduction does not have to analyze the story, but should provide an overview of it, without giving away the entire plot. The introduction should also discuss elements of fiction that have been discussed in class as they relate to the story including such elements as plot, voice and figurative language. When all of the stories have been submitted, I will assemble them into an anthology and students will be free to view it.
