Measuring Your Career Strategy
Measuring Your Career Strategy
Assignment
You will apply the idea of SMART goal setting and the balanced scorecard framework to goals that are important to you as an individual.
In the first paragraph, tell me a bit about yourself. Be sure to include both a short-term goal (something you would like to accomplish in the next year) and a long-term goal (something about your long-term career plan.
In the second paragraph, apply the idea of SMART goal setting to tell me about a short-term goal that you would like to accomplish. It can be a health goal (running a 10k by the end of the year), hobby (learning to play the ukulele), or social goal (volunteering 100 hours by the end of the year for a given organization). Outline the goal in detail and tell me how you are using SMART goal criteria to accomplish the goal (be as specific as possible).
In the remaining paragraphs, I would like to read about your long-term career goals. For this element of the paper, be sure to outline how you are using at least two of the balanced scorecard criteria to move towards your long-term goals. For example, you might note how you are improving your internal business processes by learning to accomplish certain measurable tasks quicker over time.
Overall, the paper needs to be one page total, single-spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font. Margins should be no smaller than ½ an inch overall and no larger than 1 inch overall. Name your paper with your name and upload to D2l.
