Carol Dweck a pioneer researcher in motivation why people succeed or don’t and how to foster success. This video was about mindset and how we can grow our brains to resolve problems. I found it interesting that she talked about ways to think about problems to hard, or Are you smart enough to solve the problem? This video brought me to myself and how I was ready to give up because I didn’t understand the assignments and in my mind I was ready to give up and say forget it because I felt like I was not going pass. After watching this I realize I have to have a trained mindset you can give up when things rough, you can’t run from the error. You have to have a growth mindset and the idea that abilities can be developed. although most of this was based on kids this applies to us as adults as well we often just give up when things are not going right instead of training our minds to move forward and create that growth.

Employee training -Training is a program that helps employees learn specific knowledge or skills to improve performance in their current roles. Development is more expansive and focuses on employee growth and future performance, rather than an immediate job role. This is necessary for an employee to do their jobs. Training is not the type of program that will succeeds with a “one-size-fits-all†structure. I wish that some companies would choose to conduct their training in alternative ways, like using TED talk as part of their training. “TED offers inspiration,†says Rui Nakamura, of Yahoo! Japan’s Media Service Division. “We’ve gotten comments on the playlists that say things like ‘encouraged,’ and even, ‘I decided to try something new.’†Some organizations can use simulators to imitate real work experiences. Role playing allows employees to act out issues that could occur in the workplace and skills often touched upon are negotiating and teamwork. Games simulation relating to issues we face at workplace. I know that many of us can loose focus sitting in a room listening and watching someone try to give us information. In order for companies to be more successful they need more employees that are engaged.
