Making nuclear power safer is more advantageous (Saunders, 2008). The essay will outline various advantages and disadvantages associated with nuclear technology.

First and foremost, nuclear has been providing energy employed in every part of life for decades. Considering environmental cleanliness, a vital topic in the world, nuclear power produces no harmful gases like carbon dioxide, thus does not release it to the atmosphere. Nuclear power has made it possible to eliminate harmful gases, which can lead to discomfort and illnesses. Nuclear energy uses a small quantity of uranium, to generate electricity, thus more cheap and simple to transport (Wheeler, 2008).

Consequently, nuclear drawbacks need not be ignored. The various dangers associated with nuclear includes nuclear weapons. Despite construction of the nuclear are, some of the developed nations could take advantage of this to make weapons that are nuclear powered. Consequently, the world will suffer from nuclear war risks resulting to radiation pollution and death. Furthermore, various calamities like tsunamis may lead to damage of nuclear factories posing a threat to the community like the Fukushima power plant. The entire Japan ecosystem near Fukushima is currently poisoned (Wheeler, 2008). The energy emits radioactive waste destructive to human health. Resultantly, no one likes to live near these power stations. However, there lack a way to decontaminate these radioactive materials, and the disposal of nuclear waste may be a major problem as terrorists can use these wastes to produce destructive weapons (Saunders, 2008).

In conclusion, nuclear technology has proven to better than other energy alternatives. However, making nuclear power safer is an aspect that scientists need to work on to reduces the hazardous risks it possesses to the environment and humans.
