few years ago Gartner had a Datatopia contest, ‘What would the impact of ‘information’ and ‘technology’ on society, business and life look like in 2030?’. You can read the entries here: Last Call for Datatopia…Boarding Now!. You might even know some of the authors..for instance, the one on page 67…In the spirit of the such an exercise, to present during Week 12, you need to write up your own original short (at least 500 words) story mis-using data in the most evil way possible. You can make it contingent on some sort of science fiction scenario or a stretch of what is currently available, but you must put on your evil thinking hat – or white cat on your lap – and be as abusive and destructive with data as you can, in whatever creative fashion you wish. Pretend current laws don’t matter. I’m sure some of you might be tempted to invoke the NSA – which is fine, but go beyond that – what is the worst thing the NSA could do with data? (waves to NSA – hey, guys, purely theoretical Don’t limit yourself to the government, though. What could an Amazon do? What could a Google do? What could a Facebook do? What could an insurance company do? Every organization is capable of evil.If you need inspiration, this is pretty evil: https://vimeo.com/46304267Let’s keep all the characters fictional. I’d hate to see the Secret Service have to pay anyone a call ;-)Although this sounds frivolous it’s a type of scenario planning, which is a useful business exercise. I’m sure more companies would appreciate the reports in the form of an engaging short story, as well (they should!) You should have fun with this assignment. If you want to go over 500 words that’s okay, too. I’d love to be able to submit entries to our 2016/2017 Celebration of Student Writing. This will be graded based on whether you gave it your best try; it’s a Complete/Incomplete grade. Not doing it will adversely affect your overall grade, so please do give it your consideration. You have until the end of the term to complete and submit this. It would be awesome if you could share your story with your classmates during Week 12.

I really appreciate the work all your amazing writers do to ensure that my papers are always delivered on time and always of the highest quality. I was at a crossroads last semester and I almost dropped out of school because of the many issues that were bombarding but I am glad a friend referred me to you guys.
