The essay (~1.5 – 2 pages in length) will be a close reading of a poem that speaks to you. You may analyze a poem that is not in our book; however, you must choose a poem by a well-known and published author. For this essay, you may want to focus on theme and support it with elements in the poem: poetic form, diction, symbolism, and so on. Must be in MLA format
