In face of Starbuck’s recent entry into the country, you are to design corporate strategies to secure your client’s leading position in India’s coffee market. Scenario 1: Replying to an angry colleague’s email You, Ayush Kumar, and Prisha Das (a newly hired consultant in strategy at the Bangalore’s office) had had meetings with your client’s top management, key officers, and some frontline baristas to understand Café Coffee Day’s operations, strengths and challenges. To get more ideas from highly experienced colleagues who have served global coffeehouse chains, you formed an international, cross-functional advisory team consisting of senior consultants from Operation, Marketing & Sales, and Strategy functions to support the consulting project. These consultants are stationed in Vancouver, London, and Bangalore offices respectively.
