Discuss ideas from Understanding Comics – What did you learn? Your goal in this paper is to discuss at least 3 concepts from Understanding Comics that you found useful / interesting, for example how they relate to other media artworks. Discuss why you think the concept is useful / interesting. Cite in parentheses any references you make to the book; for example, “McCloud makes a distinction between ‘received’ and ‘perceived’ information (p.49)…..”. Critical analysis is not simply stating what you like/dislike or agree/disagree with – back up your opinions with reasons and references, comparing and weighing the validity of ideas.
