Classroom Management Plan Design

Choose a grade level of your choice, and include the following information in your paper:

1. State your philosophy of classroom management. Write about how you view your students and how much freedom you plan to give them. State whether your classroom will be teacher- or student-centered. Determine your goal in addressing behavior in your classroom.
2. Explain how your personality will impact your classroom management. Explain whether or not you will tolerate noise and student movement in the classroom. State whether or not there will be humor and joking in your classroom. Write about how you will stay organized and structured.
3. Describe your instructional style. Identify the teaching strategies you will use and how your teaching style will impact your classroom-management plan.
4. Describe what your classroom will look like. Explain in writing why you have designed the room as you have. State how you will deal with issues of visibility, distractibility, and accessibility.
5. Explain how you will prevent behavioral problems in your classroom.
6. State the rules you will have. Determine who develops the rules. Write how you will share your rules with your students and parents.
7. Explain how you will correct behavioral problems in your classroom. Determine the consequences for inappropriate behavior.
8. Reflect on how or if you will use rewards or reinforcements in your classroom. State the rewards you will give. State if the rewards are for individual or group rewards. State your belief about giving rewards.
9. Describe three procedures you will use in your classroom.
10. Explain the research-based best instructional practices you will implement in your classroom.
11. Describe how your students will be engaged in the classroom.
12. Describe the organization of your classroom.
13. Explain how you will discipline. State your conflict resolution strategies.
14. Describe the theorists who influence your classroom management plan.
15. Draw a floor plan of the design of your classroom. Include your drawing in your paper.

Length: 7-10 pages, not including the title and reference pages
References: Minimum of six scholarly resources

Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.
