You will have 2 hours to complete this essay. Please set aside enough time to complete the essay in one sitting since you will not be able to pause, start, or stop the essay over once you begin. You must type the essay on Canvas in the space provided. Do not let the page be inactive for too long, or Canvas may log you out of the session.

Once you begin, you will be given one prompt at random that you will need to answer. All of the prompts have to do with The Hero’s Journey, so I highly suggest completing the readings in the Week 11 module before beginning the essay.

Some Additional Advice:

Since you will be typing directly on Canvas, you will not be able to completely follow MLA format for the spacing of the essay; however, you should still have distinct paragraphs. While you do not need to include a Works Cited entry, you should have proper in text citations when quoting, summarizing, or paraphrasing.

While there is not a word count requirement, this should still be a college level essay. Within the essay, you should have a properly structured introduction paragraph containing a hook, background material, and a clear thesis. You should also have well defined body paragraphs (at least 2) with clear topic sentences and a conclusion paragraph.
