5.  RW?

Imagine that you are the one driven to implement the total rewards program of module 5 commentary (you’ll need to read it before doing this question).

a) What is missing? As you’ve read this you may have thought something like: “ok but what about …”? Bring your critical thinking to this (and don’t use my point, below, either) and surface and address a solution for one gap.

b) One of the gaps I see is in establishing the philosophy and communicating. Those points left out the every important getting buy in from the right various people. For example, anticipate the reaction of finance, legal and the president. Before rolling this out, or even pitching it to top management you need to get buy in. What do you anticipate will be the reactions from some of the top management people, given their functional role, and how will you know and proactively address their potential/likely points of view.

Group D:  Please select one of the seven characteristics above and respond with an example of what this term means in terms of IT architecture and why it is so important to a solid architecture to support information systems.  These terms can be applied to other aspects of IT and business in general, but the focus here is on IT architecture.  Some additional research will provide specific examples including what companies have focused on in these areas.  Simply typing “IT Scalability” (or whatever characteristic you select) into your web browser should provide good results, but be sure to evaluate the sources to make sure they are relevant to this discussion.  Remember to distinguish between objective articles and vendor’s marketing information.  As you select your topic, please try to pick one that has not been selected by another student, so we can cover them all.
