These learning objectives will guide your instruction including the use of the technology-based solution you identified. You will describe the assessments you have developed. Copies of the Instruments: These are the actual assessments you used. Phase 3a: Developing an Implementation Plan Description of instructional strategies and methods: You will describe the instruction that will be carried out using the technology-based solution in order to help meet the learning objectives you identified in Phase 2. Teaching and Leading Beyond Boundaries Project: Final Reflection This assignment asks you to develop a culminating reflection, to accompany your capstone project, evaluating how your overall experience in the UMUC MEd in Instructional Technology program has prepared you to teach and lead beyond boundaries. How do you define your identity as a technology integration leader in the preK-12 schools, as you are about to graduate from UMUC? In other words, the reflection assignment asks you to look backwards and evaluate your accomplishments in the MEd program from when you first entered the program and how these accomplishments have shaped your identity as a teacher and leader who integrates technology to strengthen and transform teaching and learning. This reflection also asks you to look forward to the kind of leadership qualities you intend to exhibit in the future, as a result of your UMUC experiences. You will submit your project as part of your Course e-Portfolio. As you define your identity as a technology integration teacher and leader in this reflection–one who teaches and leads beyond boundaries–you will need to provide clear and convincing evidence that you have the knowledge and skills needed to pursue the identity you have defined and explained. Your evidence should come from a wide variety of your assignments and projects in the MEd program. The evidence should be fully explained, and you will want to provide links, attachments or screenshots of your evidence as well. Your reflection should demonstrate the breadth and depth of your understanding. To help frame your reflection, you will be asked to 1 Address (and cite) concepts in UMUC’s Conceptual Framework that you believe help to explain your identity as a teacher and leader of technology integration in K-12 schools. The phrase Teaching and Leading Beyond Boundaries is the overarching vision presented in this Conceptual Framework for all Department of Education students and faculty. 2 Address your current level of proficiency with regard to the International Society of Technology in Education [ISTE] Program Standards for the Preparation of Technology Coaches (2012).You will address each of the six standards. Keep in mind that each standard has several indicators. For each standard, discuss how proficient you are by providing clear and convincing evidence that you have met the various indicators. If you believe you are still developing with a standard or one of its indicators (that is, you have not met all of the indicators, which could be likely), please explain what your level of proficiency is and what your plan is to work toward meeting the standard in the future. Also be sure to explain, if you are a teacher, how you have applied what you have learned in the program to your work in the preK-12 schools.
