There are very few sports, sport games or sports competition that does not include or address some type of exercise and or conditioning. Athletes must maintain some type of conditioning level and participate in physical activity or order to be competive, successful and contribute to the team or individual sport. Physical activity and sports can also foster self expression and individual development. Furthermore, physical activity and exercise is important not only for athletes but for non-athletes in order to enhance a person’s overall health and well-being.
Each film that has been assigned this semester included some form of exercise training and conditioning. Pick one of the films assigned this semester to address the following questions. Please number your answers and submit directly here through Blackboard. Make sure that you address all parts of the question. Be sure to list the film that you are discussing. Each Question should be 1 paragraph in length.
1. How did the team/athlete benefit from the training/conditioning? Physically? Mentally? Emotionally? Be sure to include examples or description of the training that you are discussing.
2. What is the appeal to so many people about watching training of athletes or teams? What is the appeal in watching films that contain sports and conditioning ? Does watching sports in film motivate you individually to be active? To engage in exercise? Why or why not?
