Continuing education units are required for renewal of RN licenses (in some states) and for recertification and it differs from state to state. For example, I have 2 RN licenses, ND and MN, ND requires 12 hours of continuing education every 2 years for renewal while MN requires 26!
o Discuss and give examples on why gaining continual knowledge is important in the nursing profession.
