To begin this assignment, you will need to go to the CMS nursing home website and perform a quality analysis on three nursing homes in or around your community. You will be preparing a report (see instructions below) to rank and compare the three nursing homes based on their quality ratings in each of the following 6 categories of Quality Measures as well as an overall comparison based upon all Quality Measures presented at the above site:
Percent of Long-Stay Residents Assessed and Given, Appropriately, the Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
Percent of Long-Stay High-Risk Residents With Pressure Ulcers
Percent of Long-Stay Residents Who Have/Had a Catheter Inserted and Left in Their BlaIDer
Percent of Long-Stay Residents Whose Need For Help With Daily Activities Has Increased
Percent of Short-Stay Residents Assessed and Given, Appropriately, the Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
Percent of Short-Stay Residents With Pressure Ulcers that are new or worsenedInstructions: Prepare at least a four page summary (to include appropriate displays comparing each of the 6 quality measures total of six displays) of the comparison of the three nursing homes. Provide all of the following information in your comparison: City and State Used in the comparison
Names of the Nursing Homes
Appropriate Display of the Comparisons for each category listed above (a table, graph or other appropriate display). In other words you should have a total of 7 different tables, graphs, etc. showing the comparison of the three nursing homes for each of the six given categories as well as a display that shows the comparison of the rankings.
Rank of each Nursing Home (worst to best) for each of the six categories
An overall ranking of the Nursing Homes (worst to best) for all categories not just the above 6.
Prepare a report to rank and compare three nursing homes based on their quality ratings
