Presentation legal dimensions of a health story

At the end of each lecture, post several discussion questions that are related to the lecture, but which we did not cover or did not cover in depth.  You can present on any of these issues or present on another legal issue related to health law.  For example, you might present on the legal dimensions of a health story that you saw in the news, or you might present on the health policy concerns that arise from a recent case before the courts, or you might present on the advantages and disadvantages of a piece of legislation that the government has proposed.

Your presentation should be approximately 5-7 minutes long.

In particular, you should not leave your presentation until the end of the semester when you will be finishing your last assignment and studying for your final exam.

Along with your presentation, you will post a bibliography of the sources you relied on.  It is appropriate to use legal sources (such as cases or legislation), scholarly sources (such as journal articles or books), government sources (such as reports or policy documents), or newspaper articles.  With regard to websites, you should not rely on sources such as Wikipedia, online discussion forums, or blogs.  However, you may rely on authoritative sources online, such as articles on the websites of health-related organizations (for example, the Ontario Hospitals Association or the Canadian Medical Association).

There is no restriction on the maximum number of sources that you may use, but your must use a minimum of three sources.

In addition to your bibliography, you will also post two discussion questions that arise from your presentation, which your classmates can respond to.  Both your bibliography and your discussion questions should be posted in the Discussions section of Blackboard.
