By the end of this course, you will complete a public health business plan. You will begin the project in this unit, and work on it throughout the remainder of the course.

Overview of Project:

You will select a public health or health education organization or program within your community. You will identify a need for a new product or service for this organization/program. You will base your public health business plan on this organization/program and the proposed product/service.

Public Health Business Plan Part 1

Using your Orton text as a resource, submit the following sections of your public health business plan:

· Definition of Project

· Product/service description

· Customer/geographic focus

· Objectives and measures of performance

· Industry Analysis

· Industry structure

· Trends

· Threats

· Key success factors

· Target Market Definition/Research

· Demographics

· Risk groups

· Needs assessment

· Trends

These three sections (with subsections) should be at least 5 pages in length.
