This is the rubric given by the professor. My topic is sustainbale energy application and how nano technology applies. THe site we used was nano.gov
use academic journals articles and good nano sites that are correct to site. do not worry about the presentation part. I will make the powerpoint once the paper is finished. Please make it good use 9 sources. If you need a little more time you can always ask thank you.
In class, we broke up into groups and visited the NNI website (nano.gov) where several subject areas 1expected to experience high growth due to nanotechnology over the next 20 years have been identified. These include:
Everyday Materials and Processes
Electronics and Information Technology Applications
Sustainable Energy Applications
Environmental Remediation Applications
Nanobiosystems, Medical, and Health Applications
Future Transportation Applications

Your first group assignment will consist of a 5 page paper (with an aIDitional page for at least 7-10 references) and a presentation briefly illustrating ~5 applications of nanotechnology within these subject areas. For instance, if your topic was Everyday Materials and Processes, you could discuss what nanotechnology is being used to create lighter and stronger golf clubs, and how it is expected to affect the game.
Grading:

Since this is a tech fluency course, there are several key elements with which you have to display adequate competency with in order to achieve a satisfactory grade in this course. The key elements were discussed in an earlier class however, I can guarantee that if you keep the following in mind, you will simultaneously satisfy the requirements of this assignment as well the tech fluency committee. For the paper:
Fulfill the length requirements (4-5 pages without images).
Identify and adequately illustrate 5 applications of nanotechnology within your specific subject area.
Present the document in the appropriate MLA or APS style, including format, spelling, and grammar.
Use appropriate citations in-line, with pictures, and in the Work Cited page.
Use pictures, where applicable to make discussion of complex topics/ideas simpler.

Remember the talk in class entitled Effective Presentations.pdf. In particular, remember to avoid slides cluttered with inordinate amount of text.
One benefit of Google Presentations is how seamlessly you can integrate Youtube videos. You are free to use such videos but be sure that they are pertinent and do not do more talking than you do.
