Select an aspect of service delivery and design a tool for assessing and evaluating the performance of an individual. This could be in the form of a competency document, or a document related to an aspect of the knowledge and skills framework or skills for health for example. This assessment document should be presented in tabular form outlining the criteria against which they should be assessed. This should be designed in such a way that it could be used in an appraisal situation. (equivalent to 1000 words) the reference could be one or two as it does not need that many references. It depends on you how many you want to use.

This should include the underpinning literature providing a rationale for your proposed tool. It should demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the factors to be considered when assessing and evaluating performance, including consideration of anti-discriminatory practices. You should include your assessment tool as an appendix .(equivalent to 4000 words) Our tutor said she does not really care about the numbers of reference as long as you could underpin what information you have used. I roughly mentioned about 10. However, you can aID more if you want.

What will be assessed?

Have you selected an aspect of service delivery and designed an assessment tool for assessing and evaluating the performance of an individual?

Have you presented the first part of the assessment in tabular form outlining the criteria against which they should be assessed?

Can this tool be used in an appraisal situation?

Have you included your assessment tool as an appendix?

Have you demonstrated your appraisal of the appropriate literature and can justify and evidence your assessing and evaluating practice?

Have you indicated to the examiners that you have a good insight into the subject area?
Questions to ask yourself include
Did you support your work with up to date literature?

Did you use up to date government documents if applicable?

Did you provide a balance of the opposing viewpoints?

Did you deviate from the subject area?

What comments were made at the formative stage and have you aIDressed them?
