Two years have now passed with the formation of your company. A data breach occurred last year which caused your sales and reputation to drop considerably although things are starting to look up a little as the public starts to forget about what happened and focus on the amazing products or services you provide.

Despite the upswing towards the end of the first year, your company is facing some serious financial problems and the CEO has a meeting with his Chiefs, explaining that it’s time to “Trim the Fat” or reduce costs. This can be done in any creative and/or practical way that you wish although some suggestions will be given below.

The CTO will create a simulated budget of yearly operating costs. More details on this will be explained below. Then he will have to reduce it by a certain amount and everyone will have to find a way to cut costs.

Answer these questions(minimum length of 4 paragraphs of 6 sentences):

• CPO: Where can you cut costs in your department? Can the cost of the Privacy education be reduced? Are they any privacy policies which are costing money and if so, can they be removed? Is it possible to add a privacy policy that saves money? What is your official recommendation on how to reduce spending? Also, needs a Spending section.(example of the spending section in the attachment)
• Again, make this report base on the budget made by CTO
• CTO’s report is attached

1. Does not meet minimum length of 4 paragraphs of 6 sentences:
   1. Missing paragraph: -15 pts
   2. Each sentence under 6 in a paragraph: -5 pts
2. Spending/Implementation Schedule Section missing: -15 pts
3. Quality of the questions answered will determine points loss. I’m looking for creativity and conciseness. This Development Scenario relies heavily on the CTO creating a budget and the rest of the team finding ways to cut costs. So I will be looking for reports that make sense and match other reports.
4. I reserve the right to take off or add additional points for work performance. If all requirements are met but work content is subpar, I can take points off or on the other hand if the student goes the extra mile, I can add additional points.
