One of the apps from the Google Play store that I chose as a beneficial help as I’m progressing through school is the Grammarly app. The Grammarly app automatically detects potential grammar, spelling, punctuation, word choice, and style mistakes in your writing, which follows common linguistic prescription. It is also a great help in making sure you stay within an APA format. The app is initially free to use with a basic set of options to choose from, however, you have to pay for more advanced usage. What I like most about the app is that most of our writing in school is required to be in APA format and this is a great tool to help keep you on track. I would absolutely recommend it to classmates because it can really be a great tool to help you throughout your studies. The other app in Google Play store that I really like is Google Drive. It’s a file storage and synchronization service that allows users to store files on their servers, synchronize across devices and platforms, and also to share those files with others. This app is also free up to 15 GB, but after that you would need to pay for any additional storage space. The thing I like most about the app is that it is cloud based and you can access it from anywhere; so if you’re a person always on the go it is an extremely convenient way to bring your work with you anywhere you go. This is also another app that I would most definitely recommend to classmates because of it’s easy access and mobility.

So, there are two apps that interest me one would be Google Drive and I

discovered a math app called iFormula. Google Drive is an app where you

can save documents, share documents with classmates, organize your work,

also if you ever forgot your homework you have it at the palm of your

hands. Also I have Google Drive in my laptop so when I’m done with

typing my homework through Word I save it directly there so that I don’t

use up the memory in my laptop. To stay organized I create different

folders in Google Drive for each class and save my work from each class

in the proper folder so I don’t accidentally hand in the wrong work for

the wrong class. Now, when it comes to the app iFormula I have never

used it but from what I read it sounds very interesting and it is only

available for iPhone uses. In this app it will basically remind you of

all math formulas that you may have encountered through out school. Not

sure about everyone else but I know that I can’t remember everything

especially when it comes to math. So, if I can find an easier way to

track down the steps on how to solve a math problem I will do it. Both

of these apps are free to use and I would definitely recommend Google

Drive but as far as iFormula I haven’t used it yet so I can’t say if

it’s a good or bad app but from what I read it sounds ok.

Both apps I chose are for Android but may also be for iOS. The first app is Grammarly Keyboard. It’s a free app that integrates Grammarly functionality into the mobile keyboard, so it works anywhere with text input. My favorite part about the app is how easy it is to set up. Grammarly has helped me a lot on the desktop, so it’s nice to have that option for my phone too. I recommend trying it because its usefulness can be seen immediately.

The second app is Trello. It’s also free and can be used on both the desktop and smartphone. It’s a powerful suite that’s a visual to-do list and timeline with a lot of customization. Trello boards contain cards for individual tasks, can be sorted into columns, and can be shared with others. My favorite thing about it is how easy it is to provide feedback; there’s support for comments, pictures, videos, and more. There’s a lot to this app and I highly recommend it, especially when collaborating.
