Think about a population proportion that you may be interested in and propose a hypothesis test problem for this parameter. Gather appropriate data and post your problem and solution in the discussion topic.

For example, you may believe that the population proportion of adults in the US who own SUVs is 0.25. Your data could be that you surveyed people leaving work at the end of the day and found that 13 out of 50 owned an SUV. Test this hypothesis at the .05 (or another level) significance level.

My niece just got her license and a new car. It got me wondering about how many 16-year-olds have their own car versus using the “family car”. She has approximately 200 students in her class. I asked her if she could think about how many of her classmates had their own car. She was able to name 32 of her classmates she was sure had their own car.

200 16-year-olds have their license and 32 of those 16-year-olds own their own cars.
