What were the ethnicities? 94 Asian/Asian American, 48 White/Caucasian, 41 Hispanic/Chicanx, 16 Mixed, 8 Other, 5 Black/African American, and 2 undisclosed

Procedure

For the ‘Procedure’ section, describe what the participants did, what measure that was used, and the measure’s validity and reliability in one paragraph.

– Participants completed an online version of the Revised Competitiveness Index (RCI) (Houston, Harris, McIntire, & Francis, 2002). Note this is a different source than the Houston et al. (2005) article you cited in the Introduction. This will be the first time you cite this 2002 article and therefore all author names should be included.

– The RCI is a 14-item survey that measures competitiveness in two factors: enjoyment of competition and contentiousness.

– Item responses were provided on a 5-point Likert-type scale that ranged from ‘1: Strongly Disagree’ to ‘5: Strongly Agree’.

– The RCI has construct validity (Houston et al., 2002) and demonstrated good test-retest reliability (r = .85) over an approximate 2.5–5-week time period (Harris & Houston, 2010).

The Harris (2010) article is new too. All sources will need to be included in the Reference/Works Cited section for the next assignment (not this assignment). I am including these two additional sources in the ‘Article Repository’ folder on TritonEd, which is located in the ‘APA-Style Research Report’ folder.
