Evaluate whether it is effective, if so to what extent, and whether your thoughts on whether the risks outweigh the benefits or vice versa.

To begin this discussion, you will need to research studies surrounding the topic you picked and present them in your writing; have provided several in this module as well as two systematic reviews that collect several together. This discussion post needs to be critical, don’t only look at the results of the study or what they say. Focus on how the study was conducted.

For example, is the population size large enough to be meaningful? Did the researchers begin by asking a good research question or were they looking to verify something they already believed? Was the study set up in a good way?

Once you have looked at how the research looks, now move on to the results and what government agencies, hospital systems, and other similar agencies view the topic you selected. Take into account the studies you have found with the information presented by the agencies to make a decision on whether you believe it is effective.
